Inspired by the work of American artist James Turrell, the spaces have been transformed by ever shifting and changing colours.
‘Katsu’ lounge is framed with back-lit wall panels and screened partitions using a biodegradable polymer material, developed by Natural Material Studio in Copenhagen. Amongst shimmering red walls, distressed concrete structure and silver curtains, the organic texture of the fabric evokes moon-scapes, adding to the other-worldy and almost sacral aesthetic defined by the symmetrical layout of the tall light panels. Bar and DJ booth are combined into one counter made from rammed concrete, anchoring the space.
